QBO’s tax system is completely out of whack. Now if I go based on location it gives a completely different calculation than if I go based on the state tax. And when I look at QBO’s math they state they are using the same tax base. BUT EVERYTHING IS CALCULATED DIFFERENTLY at the final calculation.

If I have previously downloaded and update the account by hand it results in duplicated transactions which I have to clean up. At this time, we have an open investigation (INV-67054) for this exact issue you stated above. This has been raised with the banking engineers to understand why this unexpected behavior is happening.
